I have worked full time in the field of public archaeology since late 1983 (19 years), both as a consultant (see below), as a temporary employee of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, and briefly for Pacific Power. Whilst working for NPWS I researched and assessed Aboriginal and Historic sites, prepared study briefs and reviewed conservation plans and environmental studies. In 1992-1993 I reviewed the role of Aboriginal heritage assessment within the broader environmental impact and development assessment process.

I have worked primarily as a consultant archaeologist and have prepared more than 100 archaeological reports and participated in other projects. My consulting experience is summarised as follows:
