Consulting Experience

Tamarind Meara has completed an Honours Degree in Archaeology (specialising in repatriation and reburial of Indigenous human remains in south-eastern Australia) and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Project Management Principles. Tamarind has over eight years’ experience working in the field of Aboriginal and European cultural heritage management Australia wide.
Tamarind has worked in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Queensland as an Archaeologist and independent heritage consultant. She has managed many archaeological projects for both Government and industry bodies. Including complex resource feasibility assessments, repatriation programs, commercial developments, water and gas pipelines, transmission corridors as well as agricultural infrastructure upgrades. She is well practiced in working with the legislation and policy having authored a variety of technical archaeological reports, due diligence assessments and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
Tamarind has extensive experience in project management, historical and Aboriginal archaeology fieldwork (standard and complex assessments), burial excavation and recovery, archaeological research, site predictive modelling, analysis of finds, report writing, GIS and archaeological photography.
